Lincolnshire is lucky to have these great dedicated trails which on the sections covered by this ride are all tarmac. A good cafe at Doddington Hall and plenty of choice in Woodhall Spa. Apart from the centre of Lincoln, Newark, and the A617 via Kelham there is very little traffic on this route. Some of the A617 traffic can be avoided by riding on the pavement to Kelham. One adjustment - do not take the shortcut just outside Brant Broughton - it can be muddy.
