The National Cycle Network is a great way to find traffic-free routes and quiet lanes. These routes pass through Callander:
To Sunderland, Washington, Stanley, Annfield Plain, Consett, Penrith, Carlisle, Annan, Dumfries, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright, Newton Stewart, Maybole, Ayr, Irvine, Kilwinning, Glasgow, Dumbarton, Alexandria, Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, Kingussie and Inverness.
To Stirling, Bridge Of Allan, Dunblane and Doune.
