Yesterday on a hilly ride of 32miles my Garmin Etrex 30 recorded a total ascent of 547 metres. When I uploaded the track into the Cycle Travel webpage it shows a total ascent of only 430metres. Why the difference?
This is my Cycle Travel upload https://cycle.travel/map/journey/710433. This is my Garmin track - or not - as I'm struggling to copy it as a gpx. If it is useful to anyone I'll try harder! Here it is ! - https://cycle.travel/gpx/710433.gpx
The Wolf Way in Suffolk has part of its route using the EV12. It is also marked with the abbreviation HoSR. Please can you tell me what the abbreviation stands for? Thanks, Tim.
Dear Richard, I have a GPX track downloaded from a Cicerone guide which I would like to modify using Cycle.Travel before then using it on a tour. I could modify it in Basecamp but this is very clunky and Cycle.Travel is easier yo use. Is it possible to import a track into Cycle.Travel for this purpose?
Thanks, Tim
During the preparation of a tour I may generate several alternative routes for each stage. In compiling the final list of stages onto my garmin I want to be sure that I have used my final version of each stage. Can I delete my rejected versions from my list of saved routes? How do I do this? Thank you.
I want to break up NCN 2 into daily chunks starting from Portsmouth ferry terminal. Please can you tell me if I can do this?
I could do it in Garmin Basecamp by importing the cycle travel download but then I can't put the results back into Cycle Travel.
Thanks for your help, Tim Hoyle.
