Is there any way to plan a day's route from the actual address (a hotel for instance) that one is using and finish the day at the hotel for that night? I have been thinking that I could put the hotels in my Garmin and then at the end of the gay simply ask the Garmin to sort a route to that hotel. Equally, I know that the Garmin will ask if I want to be directed to the start of a route.
But in a large city, that could add many miles to the day's ride and on a wet and windy day, it would be ideal to route from and to the appropriate hotels. RideWithGPS does do this, but I am in the processing of planning my first tour using C.T as I think it is a very much better tool for me - but I do wish C.T could provide this.
Thanks
I am struggling with Cycle.Travel. I moved across from RideWithGPS because of the IGN map availability on Cycle.Travel but I simply can't come to terms with the instructions - unlike RWGPS which I find to be exceptionally easy to use.
For instance. Should I wish to undo a leg of my route that I am creating, I am instructed to look to the side of the map where I am told I will see a button. Click on that, and I can delete the last waypoint, I'm told but not on my screen anyhow. The only way, it seems to me at least, that I can make a change is to delete each stage and start again. Surely I am doing something wrong. Any advice would be appreciated otherwise it is back to RWGPS even without IGN maps.
Thanks
Richard, I just signed up but already have a problem. I can't change from miles to kilometres. I had asked thhe question some time ago, and got answers. But now that I am anxious to give CT a trial, I can't make the advice work.
To begin with, I can't find 'user settings'. Presumably if I could get into that, then I can click 'my bike', 'profile' and then find the toggle. I can get into 'my bike' but when I go there instead of 'user profile' and can't get to change miles to kilometres. Please advise. Thanks
