Downloading a route from C.T to my Garmin GPS

I would be really grateful for some help. For some reason I am unable to load a route planned on my lap top using C.T. This is a new problem because until now, I have managed to load routes. And even now, I surprise myself when it works. But is not the regular case.

As you can imagine, I have absolutley no understanding about why files can transfer and do all sorts of things. But I can follow directions. Could someone please provide step-by-step instructions starting at the point where a route has been devised and I want to dpownload onto my device. Please do not leave out a single step. I usually use a USB cable to physically connect my GPS to my laptop and I always plan routes on my laptop.

I must say, I love what C.T does. It suits my 'quiet country lanes' style of touring and I am most grateful to have it. If only I could transfer mywonderful C.T  routes to the GPS!

Thanks very much for any help provided.

Route constanly reverses itself

I couold use some advice please. I have made a muti stage route from Borseau to Toulose mostly using theCicerone Canal de la Garonne route. My problem is that after I complete the route it reverses its self and starts in Toulose. Will this create a problem when I download it into my GPS?  Thanks in advance.

Routing to specific destination

Until a few minutes ago, one of my concerns about cycle.travel was that unlike other services, I could only route to a town or city, not to a specific hotel. There is nothing worse in my view than hammering your way through bad weather to get to your next overnight stop and find that your hotel is some distance away from where your route takes you. But I now realise that in fact if you put the name of the hotel with the town your are going to, your route will take you to the front door of that hotel. At least in some cases that I tried. Is it possible that if your hotel is one one of those suggested by C.T when you are doing the actual route planning, then you will be able to route directly to it? If so, this is yet another wonderful bit of support from C.T

Regards

Bob

I am trying to up my monthly contribition as promised but can't figure out how to do that. Could you please advise. As well, could I ask about the various maps on offer. You commented on a forum about my having heard that RWGPS often has different routings depending on the map chosen. Is that the case with C.T? Your comments about quiet roads and limited climbing are the driving factor in using C.T. Thanks very much.

Actually, just figured out to Patreon question but would appreciate the requested comments about maps when you get an opportunity.

Cheers

Out and back route

I am trying to plan a route from Wells Next The Sea to Burnham via Walshingham and back to Well. But C.T doesn't want to let me do the last bit to aarrive back where we started from. If Richard sees this, the route is in my journeys marked '3A'. I would very much appreciate advice. Thanks
