Justin, if you provide a link to the route then those of us not intimately familiar with the area may be able to help :-). Simply pasting the URL should do the trick.

I do notice, however, that it's not exactly a road that you want to follow. If you are certain (and I mean certain) that the bridge is intact and safe you could use the "direct to" feature to "force" CT over the bridge.

Yep – map issue. There was an infinitesimally small connection between the bridleway and the bridge that wasn’t marked as allowing bikes. I’ve removed it in OSM and it’ll carry through to c.t next time I do a map update (in a week or two, I think). Thanks for spotting!
