It seems that every change to this route changes the elevation hugely.. probably needs more research to get the route dialled in past the prettiest parts.
1st pass at a one day potential route to New Milton.
Diverting to Bath for lunch (extra 20 or so miles)
Ask for local knowledge, possibly make it a two day route.
Train home.

Avoiding Ferry.
Aiming for 120-140 miles 1st day, 2nd day 90-70 miles, taking the additional Gower loop to Rhosilli before route end.
