Hello

I’m finding that some of my saved routes on the app refuse to open up.  Most of them don’t (but some do ??) Frustrating. Any reason for this ?

Accomodation.

Hello all regarding the ‘overnight stop’ suggestion. I’m looking to do this but is there any way of knowing just how far you are from your chosen route ?  I have ‘split’ the route opting for short last day….(don’t really want to go miles out of my way you see…)

Please can you tell me why the app is just giving me the open street map and not the cycle travel route planner ?

My research for days out on the bike is always directed at being as pastoral as possible. Today it was found wanting. Sadly there is a seismic proportion of traffic on this route, so to enjoy the attractive West Lancashire countryside and the beautiful Croxteth Park in Liverpool you will have to ride out it’s irritation.
The ride starts at Bridge Farm campsite and cafe in the lovely little town of Rainford next to the train station. After a mile or so go down the cycle path alongside the old station house. After 4 miles I find that the gates of Knowsley Hall are padlocked which obviously provides a delightful shortcut and a welcome break from a noisy environment. I was inextricably irked.  This was the catalyst that caused chaos with my navigational device  Carry on down the cycle way on the East Lancs Road and take the next left turn. Continue and go straight ahead onto Knowsley Lane. About a mile ahead  spot a green sign pointing you to Croxteth Park down Flukers Hall Lane. Cycle through the woodland as the cars finally disappear. Enjoy your customary cuppa in the animal farm cafe.  Exit the park on Croxteth Hall Lane and go right then right again at second traffic lights down Aldcourt Road.  Go through Alt Park on your left. and keep left to reach Panstile Lane. From here the navigation will kick in again. Presently arrive at Kirkby town centre, up County Rd and shortly arrive in the unfamiliar peace and solitude as a sign indicates your arrival and return to West Lancashire. Ride through Bickerstaffe, and return to Bridge Farm along lovely lanes, via the by pass.
