Hello,
Currently, to plan a trip, I start with a new map in Google My Maps to include sights/attractions, then open a new tab with Cycle.Travel to try and build a route that will let me reach all those locations, and finally import the route into a new layer in GMM.
The reason I use C.T is that the router in GMM is terrible, and not particularly cycle-friendly.
It'd be great if C.T could import a GPX that contains POIs: It'd be a lot easier to draw a route in the same interface.
Even better if C.T could automatically build a route to go through all the POIs, leaving the user the opportunity to change the route pre-drawn by C.T.
Cheers,
Hello,
I notice that C.T doesn't use the most up-to-date index to fetch addresses: An address I updated a few days ago through OSM doesn't show up in the From/To fields, while it does when using www.openstreetmap.org or http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org
Cheers,
Hello,
I have a couple of suggestions:
1. Remember the last location when displaying the map. Currently, the site always starts on England, which forces user living elsewhere to move + zoom the map each time. This could be done either through a cookie or settings in the URL.
2. Like Google Maps Directions, make it possible to create shortcuts ("Home", "Work", etc.) to easily fill the From/To fields.
Cheers,
Hello,
I suggest adding an Edit button, so that users can edit the description they added to a route.
Currently, it appears that a description can not be edited after posting.
Cheers,
If you're staying at the camp site in Maisons-Laffitte, here's an alternative route to Paris to avoid the busy traffic through Satrouville/: Head South-East to Boulogne-Billancourt through Chatou, Rueil-Malmaison and Saint-Cloud, and finally grab the new bike track along the Seine.
