Not to be confused with the North Dorset Trailway, this is a circular tour of the area, entirely on-road and hilly at times.
Gillingham's railway station makes it a good place to start and end. There are direct trains from London Waterloo, though you’ll need to book a space for your bike.
Villages such as Milton Abbas and the towns of Shaftesbury and Blandford Forum couldn't be prettier, and for the most part the lanes are quiet. A classic weekend tour for the experienced cyclist.
