Thousands of cyclists ride NCN 7 every year... but rarely in its entirety. Its southern flank forms the bulk of the ever-popular C2C (Coast to Coast) challenge route, while its most northerly 100 miles provide the classic route across the Highlands via Drumochter Pass. Between the two is an always interesting route via the quiet roads of Dumfries & Galloway, the Ayshire Coast, Glasgow and Loch Tay. For a hilly 500-mile holiday route, this would be hard to beat.
