Once you're over the initial hump at Longleat, this is a gentle amble down to the south coast. It works well combined with NCN 24 to provide an easy route from Bristol/Bath down to the sea. The National Trust's celebrated Stourhead Estate and and its Capability Brown-designed gardens follow soon after Longleat, while for cycling interest, the best section is the North Dorset Trailway from Shillingstone to Blandford Forum, a developing railway path project. Wimborne Minster has a nearly-cathedral and a cafe-heavy character.
