Holderness Half Century Centenary ride for EYCTC
This is a proposed 50 mile ride round some of Holderness to celebrate EYCTC Centenary in 2025. Starting from the centre of Cottingham it heads out east to Mappleton before turning south through Aldborough and on towards Hollym before turning back west and north back to Cottingham.
Holderness 100 Centenay ride for EYCTC
This is a proposed ride for our Centenary year, taking in both Sledmere and Burton Agnes along the way, and the "Queen of Holderness" (Patrington Church). EYCTC Cenenary will be 6th June 2025. No date has yet been agreed for this ride, and a "Holderness Half" will also run on the same day to offer a less challenging ride.
The ride starts from Cottingham centre going out through Little Weighton, Bishop and Cherry Burton, to Southburn on the Bracken Road, across towards Huggate, then up to Sledmere, across form there to Burton Agnes before heading south to the flatter lands of Holderness, goiung as far south as Easington before turning north and westwards back to Cottingham.
EYCTC ride from Humber Bridge Car Park (HBC) out through Horkstow Brigg and Howsham, back more directly. Total around 50 some miles. Involves riding alongside the Ancholme river path into Brigg (easily modified to avoid this).
Proposed Sunday Ride to Allerthorpe. Note, the road from Hoilme on Spalding Moor to Everingham may be closed, in which casee the aletrnative is to stay on the A614 through Holme to the Seaton Ross turn.
Proposed Sunday ride Skidby to Kilnwick Percy and return via Millington and Tibthorp, Bracken road.
