No doube operator error, and the first time I followed a route with the app (as a trial, it was a circular route from home) just a few miles to go I noticed that there were 'reroute' 'ingore' options on the screen (being familiar with the location I assumed I'd taken an alternative route for the last few miles). I chose 'reroute' and all seemed good until I finished my ride and saved the journey as only the section from the reroute point was saved and the earlier section of the route was lost. Of course, being in an area I knew I could have chosen either option, and losing the route did not matter, but I am curious as to what I did wrong.
Rather than following a route, is it possible for the app (Android) to record my ride? I've searched on the forum but cannot find an answer to this. Most of the time I set off with an idea of where I am going and just want the app to record my ride for that day, whilst displaying the map and basic info. I usually use Komoot for this and I am looking for an alternative to that, but don't see this as option with the cycle.travel app, am I missing something?
