Favourite route sectors

Is there any mileage in having the web app allow you to highlight and save parts of a trail or road as a favourite? Then you could build up a map of favourites so that when planning a new route you can see them and therefore incorporate any favourites to the route. I live in Suffolk and with so many lanes to choose from I keep forgetting where some of the particularly good bits are. Having them shown on top of the map could be very useful.

Involuntary route changes

I've recently had a problem with a lot of my routes where I have loaded a previously saved route, paved only in this example("Set to paved only" is greyed out on the drop-down menu), and when I have added a via point the route immediately changes. The same thing happens when I load a route and use Download For GPS. The route immediately changes and that is then uploaded to the GPS.

Original saved route:

Route after adding a via point:

Same original route when using Download For GPS.

I can't work out what I am doing wrong for this to happen.

Thanks for any help

Nick

Android app. Offline functionality.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I've downloaded the android app and downloaded an area of maps to use offline. It seems that you still need Internet access for the app to be able to create and save a route over the downloaded maps. Is this the 'background navigation' you mention that's in the development pipeline?

Thanks

Nick

Paved only roads in Majorca.

I'd like to explore the little lanes on the island on my road bike but as some of these lanes end up as dirt tracks I just wondered if using the 'paved only' setting when planning routes is rock solid? I think you can get a map detailing cycling roads there but i didn't want to have to cross reference with the map every time I create or let Cycle.Travel create a route.

Routing over tracks that the app won't lock on to.

There are a number of bridleways and byways in my area of suffolk that the app won't let me route on to. Is there a way of forcing the app to follow a track regardless?
