The Big Track

The Big Track is a 15.5km circular leisure route along the Nottingham and Beeston canal and the River Trent.  Where the path goes under London Road it is very narrow and you are required to dismount and use steps to get over the canal.  Aside from that there are no other barriers or points where you need to dismount along the route.

The compacted gravel section between Clifton Bridge and Beeston is reasonably smooth and can be used by most bikes. However it can get a bit overgrown in early spring and suffers from pooling water during wet weather.
