Cycle.travel- What a concept! What a site/app!

My wife and I have just returned from a 10 day, 400 mile cycle tour of Normandy, following routes entirely selected by c.t between our chosen stopovers. This was a part of France of which we had very little knowledge prior to visiting. Almost without exception , and as usual, the routes c.t selected were safe, quiet and interesting . Over the past ten years I have learned that we can reliably put our faith in c.t to be our guide to life on a bicycle. Thank you Richard for what you have created (and Hobbes of course for the  many answers ) . Spread the word.. I do all the time !

Elevations / route profile

The above information is readily available on the web versions of each route. Can this be accessed on the App versions of each route?

Thanks.

Folder Maps

My question is about Folder Maps. Last year I set up a folder for 32 stages of a long French route ( France En Velo ). I could access a Map in the folder showing all the stages. Returning to it now I can no longer access the Map associated with this folder, in fact it is not offered as an option. My smaller folders give me the option.  Is it a memory issue or am I now looking in the wrong place for it . Thanks John Buswell

Search facility on your site for News or forum topics

Richard,

Do you have search  ‘facility’ for News or forum topics  on the site? Apologies if I’ve missed this but I have been looking but not found one.

GPX ‘trace’ and related ,matters

Richard, when uploading a GPX file to a CT map the first image that appears contains a turquoise line that is the ‘original ‘ GPX route  , as well as CT’s interpretation of that route. When you save that image as your chosen route the turquoise line disappears, as it does if you make any change ie ‘Any’ to ‘Paved’. for example. Is there any way that  that ‘original’ can be retained on the CT route image? A related question is what, on the drop down menu for the various types of map available’ does ‘Trace GPX’ mean? When you select it it just brings up photo/ file options?

Thanks

John Buswell
