Link to Booking.com is always adding a child to the search parameter

I'm using the website and have been using the very useful accommodation nearby feature but I've noticed that when linking, a child is always added to the search parameter in Booking.com.  This does not happen if I go directly into Booking.com, I always get 2 adults defaulted.  I've tried clearing browser cache this does not resolve the 'problem'.  It is a trivial issue but it does mean the search in booking.com has to be repeated as properties without child in room facilities get excluded.  Is there somewhere where the child is specified as a setting?
