Clifton 100k North

100 km route North out of Clifton using paved state maintained roads.  TX6 is a moderately busy road with wide shoulders.  From Iredell the route follows FM927 to Walnut Springs and then Morgan.  FM 927 is paved, but has no shoulder.  It is normally lightly traveled and passes through nice rural scenery.  TX174 is paved into Meridian with a reasonable shoulder.  From Meridian, FM1991 is paved, has no shoulder and is lightly traveled most of the day.

Meridian, Iredell, Walnut Springs & Morgan all have convenience stores for water, snacks or just rest.
