Athelstan Pilgrim Way 100 mile cycle - West Circuit 45 miles

A fabulous pilgrimage cycle route that links 36 amazing old churches with Malmesbury Abbey at its centre. The total route is 100 miles but is split into two circuits each a loop starting at Malmesbury Abbey. Can be ridden as two loops or combined. East circuit 55 miles, West Circuit 45 miles. I was a tester for these routes and mapped them on cycle travel - which I use for lots of long European rides and is my favourite planner. So now I thought I'd share. Its mostly on quiet country roads and suitable for road bikes or off road bikes - I did it on my e-bike, generally flat. Lots of quaint villages and beautiful old churches - many of which you can pop into, some no longer used as churches, some offering a tea stop and toilet. Booklet available to buy £4 at the abbey with written route details.
