This route goes through Nîmes, a city with great historic sites from the roman era (arena, "maison carrée"), the "Pont du Gard" (a roman aqueduct, UNESCO great site.

Arriving into Nîmes is not always through the best and scenic places yet it's not very long.

I selected paths using small country roads crossing vineyards into Sommières. This is a nice little town. Then it uses a former railroad cycle way until near Nîmes.
