There has been an estate at Wokefield since the first house was built in the 1560s for the wealthy Plowden family. Set in 250 acres of Berkshire parkland its history is etched in the different architectural features that greet you throughout. Now De Vere Wokefield Estate the hotel has been completely transformed following a £10 million restoration throughout. The all-new Wokefield Place a high-tech dedicated conference building has been refurbished and kitted out with all the AV and IT you need. A Burr&Co. the groups signature coffee shop has been added complementing the current restaurant bar and deli.
Inspired by British heritage design a new collection of bedrooms has also been created. Once again the heart of the estate the historic Mansion House has had a complete makeover and now offers 87 guestrooms including 12 luxury suites along with the restoration of a number of event spaces including the pillared Maple Suite. A nod to the estate s history The 1560 Restaurant serving classic British dishes - is now open serving breakfast through to dinner whilst the new Whiskey Lounge is a cosy spot for drinks until the small hours. The spa has been re-imagined and now offers an additional six treatment rooms. Outside you ll find an 18-hole PGA-standard golf course and outdoor activity course in the grounds.
