This is somewhat rough in places until it nears Charlbury, but thereafter follows quiet roads and bridleways on the Villages Transport Network via Stonesfield and Combe to Long Hanborough Station.

Leave High Street and Horsefair and head East on the A44 London Road, but at 1.8 km turn right onto the Salt Way (bridleway). Turn left when this emerges onto the B4026, but when the road bends right you continue straight along the Salt Way, then cross the B4022. You can optionally turn right into Charlbury along the regional route 442 or National cycle route N8, but otherwise continue on the Salt Way until you emerge onto a minor road, and turn right into Stonesfield. Follow through and into Combe, then head along Horns Land and Swan Lane until this bends sharp right, at which point you turn left and follow the bridleway to the A4095 and Long Hanborough Station.
